TouchBook, the hybrid netbook/tablet from Always Innovating is ready to hit the market. Its production started in late June this year and now initial models have started shipping. TouchBook is basically a tablet PC with a detachable keyboard.

The TouchBook is equipped with a USB Wi-Fi b/g/n Adapter, Bluetooth and internal USB slots. It comes preloaded with Linux. Since it has comparatively low hardware specifications support for Windows XP is unlikely. The estimated battery life is ten hours.
The preorder price of the tablet was $299 plus an extra $99 for the keyboard.
