LENOVO MIGHT HAVE 12-INCH IDEAPAD S20 IN THE WORKS

You're probably sick of all the netbook news you've been hearing lately. Yes so are we. But with the state of the world economy as it is, Apple and Voodoo are not making too many fans with people's pockets so we might as well brace ourselves because netbooks are gonna continue coming.

LENOVA PLANNING TO LAUNCH 12-INCH IDEAPAD-S20 NETBOOK

Planning is the keyword. There is nothing official but according to a report by DigiTimes, Lenovo is all set to expand its netbook lineup and unleash a 12-inch netbook. There are very few netbooks in the 12-inch category and hope we can look forward to this one.

This rumored IdeaPad S20 will be powered by N280 Atom processor with Intel's GN40 chipset. It is also reported that Lenovo has lost its preferential N280 Atom processor's pricing with its decision to put the N280 in a 12-inch netbook. According to Intel's standards a netbook's screen size is restricted to 10 inches and so Lenovo will end up paying the full non-preferential price for the N280 Atom CPU, which will be an extra $10.

The IdeaPad S10 is likely to come pre-installed with Windows XP. Though there is no news on its release date, the 12-inch IdeaPad S20 is reported to be priced at about $586.

GET ECO-FRIENDLY WITH ASUS 12-INCH BAMBOO LAPTOP

Seems like ASUS believes in doing things differently. Of late, it has released its 12-inch bamboo-ensconced laptop being first few models across the world. ASUS is trying to be the best with its wide screen and will go on sale at Taiwan’s IT Month Exhibition soon. Our long waited price feature is now out too; bamboo laptop is now available for about $1,800. Some of you might remember that ASUS first actually decided it to be launched in Green (Beige) bamboo laptop. However, designer and engineers did a clever job by giving it high-efficiency, cardboard lining, and paint-less finish that display ASUS dedication to eco-friendliness.

ASUS 12-inch bamboo looks great and unique among 95% of existing laptops that are not bamboo. Check out the specifications that it offers:
• Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T9400/P8600/P8400
• Mobile Intel® PM45 Express Chipset
• DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM, 2 x SODIMM socket for expansion up to 4GB SDRAM
• Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5100
• 12.1″ WXGA LED-backlit LCD with Color Shine (Glare-type), Crystal Shine (High brightness) and ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence Technology
• NVIDIA® GeForce® 9300M GS External 256MB VRAM

It is beyond doubt fairly reasonable considering the price tag, its strong system and eco-friendly qualifications.
