Some even come with password-protected file encryption feature.

Now Kingston has unveiled a new line of DataTraveler Locker + USB flash drives with 256-bit AES hardware encryption. The encryption software makes it impossible to access data on the drives without a password. And if you enter the wrong password 10 times the flash drive will automatically get reformatted. So if you lose your flash drive accidentally you will not have to worry about your data reaching the wrong hands. But be sure to remember your password. The drives are compatible with Windows, Linux and OS X. They are available in 4GB to 32GB capacities. Prices start at $36.

KINGSTON DATA TRAVELER 400 2GB USB FLASH DRIVE

The Kingston Data Traveler 400 2GB USB flash drive is one of the useful and protected thumb drives in the Kingston lineup. This drive skin toned with a swivel design and cap less figure main factor for easy transport, and keeps your significant files encrypted while you're on the move.

The Data Traveler 400 USB flash drive has a cap less intend that lets the USB connector swivel inside a metal casing for protection during transport. Not only does this plan look good, but it solves the predicament of losing USB end caps on other flash drives. Contrasting "switchblade" type flash drives, there is no let go switch to break or get stuck in the closed position. To extend the USB connector, you press on either side of the drive to slide the main part of the drive away from the defensive frame. When you're done, simply flick the drive back the way it was.

The cap less design of the Data Traveler 400 is something you can really be pleased about if you've ever lost the USB end cap on a different flash drive. The swivel design is so undemanding and so functional that I'm surprised more companies haven't used a parallel design. The external "frame" is aluminum surrounding a rubberized plastic body which gives the drive an overall craggy feel. The Data Traveler 400 is painless to hold, effortless to swivel, and effortless to use.
