More than 50% notebooks with a dedicated graphics card use the ATI Mobility Radeon chips, AMD has announced. AMD now claims an overall 53% share of the notebook dedicated GPU market.
The AMD Mobility Radeon series of GPUs are known for delivering advanced performance, leading features and innovative technology. Of all the AMD chips, the Mobility Radeon HD 4000 series, which includes the HD 4530 and HD 4670, is the most popular.
Several high end notebooks including the HP Pavilion dv6T, Alienware M17, Acer Aspire 5739G, Toshiba Satellite M500, Sony VAIO FW Series, Samsung R522, Asus W90Vp-X1, MSI GX623 and Dell Studio 15 now use AMD GPUs.
