VILIV S5 MID GETS HAPTIC AND MARCH RELEASE DATE

When Viliv debuted their S5 MID at CES a few weeks ago it created quite a buzz in the tech world thanks especially to its Window's XP that has a custom overlay UI which makes it more accessible to fingers.

Well new details have surfaced about the device including haptic feedback as well as a March release date. Some of the features that will be on its way in March include a 4.8-inch 1024x600 display and as we said before tactile feedback.

We're hearing that these will be coming in arch (stateside) although no price has been set. Hoping that this will revive Viliv.

LENOVO Y SERIES TO DEBUT IN MARCH

Lenovo and sexy are two words that were as far as east to west until recently. Well its time to bring the two words a little closer and what better way to do it than with the debut of the new Y series notebook.

Th notebook will come in three sizes, 14-inch Y450, 15.6-inch Y550 and the 16 inch Y650. All three support 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen displays, up to 500GB storage, 4GB (max) RAM, surround sound, optional NVIDIA GFX graphics, multi-touch touchpad, and facial recognition technology. The 16-inch Y650 can also sport ambient light sensors that automatically adjusts screen brightness levels and JBL speakers.

But probably the best part is the size of these guys. Weighing in at 5.6 pounds they are once inch at their thinnest point and will go on sale in March for an MSRP of $1,199 for the Y650 and $829 for the Y550 and Y450. Expect more specs to leak out at CES.

FOURTH KNOCK ON THE HEAD FOR APPLE IN MARCH

They may get knocked down frequently and are strong enough to get up again, but Apple keeps getting hit in the head recently. Yesterday brought the 4th lawsuit filed against the company in March itself, seriously denting and spoiling its good guy image. This suit focuses on Apple’s claims regarding the 20” monitors for its newest upcoming iMac computer. Filed as a class-action suit by the law firm Kabateck Brown Kellner LLP, it claims that Apple deliberately hid the fact that the 20” monitors are inferior compared to those of the 24” monitor and also to previous generations. Apple has reported to have claimed that the monitors can display millions of colors, but, the law firm clearly states, it can in fact only display 262,144 colors, according to Information Week.
