FUJITSU LIFEBOOK T2020 REVIEW

Fujitsu LifeBook T2020Before the all new Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 model has been introduced, a previous model known as T2010 first came out in the market. But there were some lacking aspects to this model, such that the manufacturers were prompted to make an entirely new model or more of an upgrade by incorporating a new processor and chipset for better quality performance. Did they succeed? You can find out more below.
Features

One of the biggest drawing points for Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 is the sleek and stylish design. But instead of opting for the glossy finish and trying to aesthetically blow you away, it settles for a professional design that does not sacrifice its compact feature. Thus, it is very ideal for use among college students and business professionals alike. It will enable them to jot down important notes on this notebook and you'd love to use it often for it comes with solid chassis and minimal keyboard flex for a great typing experience. The control buttons are also easily accessibly from the bottom of the screen, thus making life easier in case you need to make important adjustments to the brightness setting or the screen orientation.

Meanwhile, the display for Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 is a 12.1-inch WGXA screen that produces some of the best graphics you might have ever seen from a notebook. The vivid colors help to truly bring forth a one-of-a-kind visual quality that delivers in all aspect. And unlike other laptop screens, it does not feature a glossy finish so you won't pinch your eyes just trying to look at it.

But the biggest test to each laptop is basically its system performance and Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 exceeds standard expectations. Using an Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 1.2GHz, along with an Intel GS45 chipset, there is a lot of power on this notebook. With a 120GB 5400 RPM hard drive, there are basically no lag issues so you can perform basic applications at efficient speed. Whether you are doing office tasks, surfing the internet, video streaming, or reading e-mails, you can perform all these within mere seconds. If you are looking for a laptop that would allow you to do some gaming, this is not the one for you though.

Pros

If you're planning to buy Fujitsu LifeBook T2020, you can enjoy the following benefits:

+ The display screen with a bi-directional hinge makes it possible to turn the screen and let it face any direction you wish.
+ The build and design is looking solid such that it can withstand everyday pressure and wear.
+ Aside from a great design, it is also light enough that you won't have trouble bringing it around.
+ The 9-cell battery provides it with a long battery life for a maximum of 11 hours.
+ The wireless connectivity feature enables you to connect online quite easily.

Cons

Before you head on out to buy Fujitsu LifeBook T2020, you need to be aware of the following flaws:

- There is only one built in speaker for this notebook, which results in a below average sound quality.
- The keyboard design results in a springy effect such that typing might be a bit of a hassle to perform.

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK U2010 UMPC IS NOW WITH 2GHZ ATOM Z550 PROCESSOR

Fujitsu has come up with an increased processor option in its Loox model UMPCs which include Lifebook U810 and U2010. Introduced last year with 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, the Loox models will now incorporate a 2GH Intel Atom Z550 processor which will enhance the performance of the machine. This processor enhancement has broken Microsoft’s restrictions on XP for notebooks and is probably ready to try hands on Windows 7 RC action for speedy results.

The specifications has not been altered which includes 5.6 inch 1280 x 800 convertible touch screen display, 1GB RAM, 60 / 120GB HDD, Keyboard / Mouse Pointer, Battery capacity 20 (W/hr), Compact Flash slot, SD card slot, WiFi, BT, Webcam, USB 2.0, Fingerprint reader and Vista or XP.

The inclusion of enhanced processor means that this has now become the fastest UMPC in the market. Rumors are around the corner that after Fujitsu, Sony Vaio P and Kohjinsha will also boost up their processors, however the time will only tell the truth. Weighing 610 gm and measuring 171/135/33 mm, this mini notebook will further add a price tag of $383 to its overall cost. Well whether this new feature will lure the consumers, for that we have to wait and watch.

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK P8010 REVIEW

Combination of Power, Performance and style – Fujitsu LifeBook P8010

Fujitsu LifeBook P8010As the title says the new Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 is a ideal combination of power, performance and style. On this Fujitsu highly concentrated on industrial design and mainly on trimming P8010’s sides. It is a substantial upgrade for LifeBooks with the unique bezel-free 12-inch Ultraportable LCD of P8010. This turn to be the faster version of Centrino 2-era platform also being one of few multi-touch trackpads that Fujitsu offers.

Design
Design is the highlight! When it comes to design, P8020 is stunningly beautiful with its high-gloss finish. It has unique accent line and flashes of chrome. Sounds simply like it redefine elegance and classiness. Needless to say about the black metallic display cover and basic matte black body – they are just superb. Fujitsu claims that “Your eyes will be drawn to the gentle curve of the accent line, while the elegant chrome hinges highlight the ultra-black, lustrous casing”.

Performance
Regardless of its size the LifeBook P8020 provides specifications that are standard in huge notebooks, like an optical drive, built-in webcam, and Embedded Fingerprint Sensor for enhanced security. FUJITSU SIEMENS LIFEBOOK S6420 REVIEW

Notebook that springs life - Lifebook S6420

Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S6420 The new found lifebook is an ultraportable notebook calculated for the mobile professional. It's light, comparatively diminutive, and most excellent of all, it has an in-built 3G modem so you can go online almost everywhere. You can pick one up now for something like £1,000.

Design
The LifeBook S6420 is pretty much indistinguishable to its predecessor, the S6410. It's a packed in, lightweight notebook that commands the scales at 1.75Kg and gauges 314mm wide by 234mm high by 22mm deep. It's not as diminutive as a Netbook, but it's still handy enough to carry around all day.

Performance
Our review sample employed an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400, clocked at 2.53GHz. This is a to some extent strange choice of CPU, witnessing as T-series Core 2 Duos are intended with desktop substitution and entry-level gaming notebooks in mind. Fujitsu Siemens also manufactures an edition of the S6420 with P-series 'power-optimized' chips sprinting at 2.4 GHz and 2.26 GHz, which we suppose would be more appropriate.
The S6420 has a pretty powerful CPU, so it's no shock that it scored 5,045 in our PC-Mark 2005 benchmark. For an indication, the Asus G50 gaming notebook scored 5,774, even though it did have two times as much RAM. The S6420's graphics accelerator presentation was sufficient for this class of notebook.

Battery sprint life wasn't quite what we estimated it to be. The S6420 ended a mere 1 hour and 25 minutes in our Battery Eater classic test, which isn't enormous considering the machine is intended to be utilized -- to a hefty degree -- away from the centrals.

Conclusion
We akin to the S6420 for its hard build quality, presentation, security and mobile broadband competence. It's a diminutively pricey option, but if you necessitate a notebook with its considerable security capabilities, it's well appeal a gaze.

Pros
+ Mobile broadband element;
+ Spill-proof keyboard,
+ Recital.

Cons
- Battery sprint life;
- Run of the mill graphics capability

FUJITSU LIFE-BOOK T2010 REVIEW – ROCK HARD TABLET

The Fujitsu Life-Book T2010 is a rock-solid tablet laptop. This restructured variant has an added AT&T Broadband Connect HSPA incorporated though. Apart from that the design and chassis are the identical. The huge question though, does the in built WWAN make a distinction, in particular for those road warriors or even trade professionals who are for all time on the go? Let's seize a look and unearth it.

Design
The T2010 has a straightforward intend that is lustrous and tempting. Right off the box, you acquire that business sense. It would be just the thing for school students as well, bearing in mind that it is so small and just weighs in around 3.5 pounds. The graphite shade hides dirt really well and keeps the tablet notebook showing professional, but be cautious that the lid can be spoiled easily. The hinge is rock-hard and feels powerful. The screen doesn't quiver much, even when tapped. The truth that the display turns in both directions is a pleasant characteristic as well. The complete design is concrete and the battery being situated in the front isn't a hassle at all.

Performance
The T2010 showed about as I anticipated. It was a diminutively slower on the benchmarks than the 1st model I reviewed, but this variant only possess a Core 2 Duo ULV 1.06GHz processor and a 40GB hard disk drive. The unusual review unit contained the ULV 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor and even a 100GB hard drive. It still recited tasks with no hassles like read-through email and surfing the internet. Keep in mind this tablet notebook is for the trade minded, and definitely not for gamers. It's frivolous and handy for a reason.

The energetic digitizer is vast and like I specified before the 12.1" WXGA display is unblemished. Don't get me erroneous the keyboard has a pleasant design; it's just a slightly soft and squashy for my liking. When you are typing you can in reality see the keys bend. The T2010 gets superior battery life. With the standard 6-cell battery power pack, in balanced mode I was sprinting almost 5 hours of usage.

The T2010 is one of the 1st laptops in North America to present a built-in wireless modem licensed to right of entry to AT&T's 3rd-generation (3G) High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) Broadband-Connect wireless set of connections. The aptitude to have this high pace access permits for quicker download speeds and sooner upload speeds, which augments users' capability to propel large files, such as emails with attachments, videos, photos or trade documents.

Conclusion
The T2010 is a rock-solid Tablet notebook, with an enormous bi-directional pivot and gorgeous flaunt. I really like Fujitsu's displays; the colors are forever intense and glowing. The cover can be scratched effortlessly, so be cautious with that, but it does conceal dirt extremely well. It is trouble-free to take notes on, bestow presentations with and handy enough to carry it anywhere.
Pros

+ Gorgeous display with dual-directional hinge
+ Unyielding design and framework
+ Frivolous
+ Grand battery sprint capacity
+ WWAN

Cons
- One speaker is all you get
- Keyboard has a bundle of flex and feels spongy
- WWAN can be inconsistent in some network areas

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK S2210 REVIEW

The Fujitsu Lifebook S2210, the only entry from the Fujitsu camp in the ultra portables with an AMD processor. Not very appealing in the looks, we find out if the performance is worth it.

Design
The looks or the so-called design of this laptop is very poor. It looks more like a slab than anything, bland and ineffective. Weighing at 4 pounds, the laptop is quite solid and portable. The screen is 13.3 inches, glossy with the 4:3 aspect ratio. The maximum resolution supported is 1024x768, with Crystal View handling most of the screen beautifully. The colors were good and so was the image quality, not a bad screen by any measure. The keyboard is comfortable enough for long hours of work with handy multimedia and regular shortcut keys., but the touchpad suffers in the width. Now about the connectivity ports, PC Card slot, memory stick slot, S-video, Ethernet and USB. The absence of VGA slot makes it incompatible with older generation displays.

Performance
Running on an AMD 1.9Ghz Turion 64X2 TL-58, 2GB RAM, 100GB hard drive and onboard ATI GPU gave average results, not even the average of this category. The poor scores in 3DMark and PCMark are not even worth discussing here. Multi-tasking was not a problem and neither were the regular applications. It were the high-end applications which made the difference in various benchmarks. No gaming is possible on this one, and the other laptops with a Core-2-Duo and Nvidia GPUs outperform this offering from Fujitsu by a considerable difference.

A bad choice in every aspect, the Fujitsu Lifebook S2210 has nothing which can attract you. Can be categorized as an average business class notebook but you have better options in other notebooks, way better I mean.

Pros
+Good Screen

Cons
-Low battery life
-Poor design
-Below average performance.

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK S7211 REVIEW

Fujitsu is all busy marketing this year. And all that just doubled up giving the company a pricing time with the launch of one of the best kept secrets the FUJITSU LifeBook S7211.

Design
The Fujitsu LifeBook S7211 is an sufficient budget notebook for small-business users. Its condensed design doesn't take up too much space in a notebook bag, and the glossy finish is a good add-on. The 14.1-inch screen looks great whether you are crunching numbers or watching a movie. The design of the notebook is quiet a bit impressive. Given the fact that it comes with a dated styling, This notebook is just destined to be a budgetary combo.

Performance
LifeBook S7211 comes loaded with the latest of the VISTA genre Windows Vista Business Edition. In fact the Lifebook does reasonably well when it comes to running the OS at this budgetary level Notebooks.

This notebook is employed with the 1.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 processor. This is runs ably assisted by 1024MB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz. With a memory capacity of 120GB this Fujitsu should be well planned before dumping in information’s.

The LifeBook S7211 proved enough for fundamental media playback, Web surfing, and productivity. It did bog down occasionally when attempting all the above 3 simultaneously, and its trifling allocation of RAM held it back on our Photoshop test. We strongly advocate doubling the laptop's RAM.

Though its recital wasn't best-in-class, the LifeBook S7211's battery life has done so much to recommend it. The Notebook lasted 2 hours and 41 minutes on our exhausting DVD battery drain test. That's well further on of what we'd expect from a budget system as this and easily outlasted both the similarly priced and the similarly configured competition

Overall
Befitting a wholly average notebook, the Fujitsu LifeBook S7211 ships with an industry-standard, 1-year warranty. Warranty extensions and up gradations are sensibly priced, and Fujitsu provides a “no-questions-asked Display Damage Protection Plan” for an extra cost. With all these add-ons and basic feature laden notebook, Fujitsu is definitely aiming small businessmen on the move.

Pros
+ Prolonged battery life for such a low-cost system
+ Condensed design
+ Gorgeous display
+ Well-priced warranty upgrades features.

Cons
- Average performance
- Undersized touch pad
- Least feature set

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK N6470 REVIEW

Fujitsu through their history has made some of the nicest and most well constructed portable business notebooks around. The company's more consumer-oriented notebooks are more of a assorted bag, however, offering features that sets of clearly targeting home users but deficient in the strong styling cues of some of its competitors are something to be thought about. To know more on the new total home edition from FUJITSU lets read through.

Design

Fujitsu LifeBook N6470 design there’s not a lot to say here, which may or may not be a excellent thing, depending on your point of view. For a relatively expensive, high-spec laptop, this LifeBook doesn't do a lot to emphasize itself visually. The grey plastic top vies for the most unexciting and empty piece of 17-inch real estate we've seen come through the office in a while. LifeBook's control face, however, doesn't really follow through on this idea, with a insipid keyboard and touchpad design.

Performance
The N6470 lacks Fujitsu's trademark heat absorbing felt pads; it's not as agonizingly warm as might be expected. The N6470's audio presentation is another bright spot. Overall sound quality was rich and even, with a bottom-mounted subwoofer providing particularly gratifying bass response

Life Book comes with an Express Card TV tuner capable of pulling in both analog and digital over-the-air TV signals. Connections are easy, with a supplied adapter cord providing adaptation for traditional coax cables as well.

To save weight, the Life Book sports a minuscule (extremely light-weight) six-cell, 3200 mAh battery. In this case, the word "battery" probably implies too much: it would be more fitting to refer to what's in the N6470 as a "battery backup system."

Loaded With its 2.4GHz Penryn chipset and civilized graphics capabilities, the N6470 makes a perfectly tolerable gaming solution with the caveats about portability and battery life mentioned clearly in mind. With the N6470's minimal bloat ware excised, start-up times are acceptably fast, and common users should find the LifeBook more than fast enough for most purposes.

Overall
Overall performance numbers on the Life Book have more than held their own, this laptop is largely a box of a good specs sheet being let down by a lackluster user experience. With battery life that's a bit short of awful, an obnoxious keyboard, lots of flex and a generally unappealing look and feel, the N6470 seems to compensate its strong characteristics (beautiful screen, quick processor and plenty of RAM, multimedia capabilities) with some striking irritations and disappointments.

Pros
+ Penryn concert and plenty of memory
+ Superb screen with remarkable colors
+ High-quality multimedia capabilities
+ Grave styling may appeal to those wanting something less "gamer-Style”

Cons

- Upsetting flex calls build quality into question
- Keyboard a soreness for long-term typing
- Extremely bad battery life

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK A6120 REVIEW

The Fujitsu Lifebook A6120 is a desktop replacement multimedia machine, which has a great design and is quite light for desktop replacement category. It catches our eye, and we review it for you.

Design
The notebook has a sturdy feel to it, and it is very simple in looks, and its simplicity strikes a great chord. The screen is a 15.4” widescreen XGA with 1280x800 max resolution, and the quality is simply outstanding. The color, contrast and brightness all score well, and a stunning experience is delivered. The keyboard set is also good, with the regular layout and so is the touchpad, which is large and wide. The keys and the touchpad are very responsive, and have a good feel to them. Above the keyboard are some media center short cut keys, which carry out regular tasks like web-browser launch, search, volume control and 2 programmable keys. FUJITSU LIFEBOOK P1620 TABLET PC REVIEW

The Fujitsu Lifebook P1620 is the part of the highly efficient P series from Fujitsu, which focuses on portability and productivity.

Design
The design is superb, and the overall build has been made ultra-portable. The notebook doubles up as a tablet, and boasts of a good touchscreen too. It has been provided the trademark bi-directional hinge by Fujitsu. The exterior is black, while the inner is silverish, and the overall color scheme is not very vibrant, its plain simple. The screen is a 8.9” WXGA with max resolution of 1280x768. The screen looks great in both modes, and the overall quality is great. The connectivity options are very wide, with 2 USB ports, a PCMCIA slot, SD Card slot, Ethernet , VGA, MIC/headphones ports. The keyboard is sturdy overall, with a minute bit of flex in the middle somewhere. The keys and the pad have been reduced in size to take care of the tablet factor. The pen is great for navigating through the touchscreen, and it is obviously better than bare hands.

Performance
The tablet comes with an Intel Core-2-Duo @ 1.2Ghz ULV, which is nothing to rave about in terms of performance. The machine performance is good in business related tasks, but it simply does not do any good to gaming. The 1GB RAM and 80 GB PATA drive make the system good enough to handle the multi-tasking tasks. The ULV processor disappoints the PCMarks, and it only manages to score 2,113 marks. Similarly, it faltered in 3DMark 05, with mustering a meager score of 343. All this proves that the system is not a very good performer, its average or rather below average to be precise.

Conclusion
Considering its size and the intended audience, the notebook is good for its segment. But still, it can't match the big boys out there. The battery is great, with 4-5 hours of backup and so are the wireless options and speeds.

Pros
+ Good screen
+ Superb battery
+ Awesome design

Cons
- Average performance
- A bit high on the cost
