MEDION AKOYA ANNOUNCES E1313 NETBOOK

The Medion Akoya has already released a number of netbooks under its E131X series. The latest addition to this series is the Medion Akoya E1313 netbook. Like other models in this series this netbook also has an AMD Sempron processor.

The E1313 is expected to be released in October/November after the release of Windows 7.
Unlike other models in this series, it has a touchscreen display which appears to be reasonably responsive. Other features on this netbook include an Expresscard/34 slot. The device with its 6-cell battery is likely to be priced between €450 and €500.

MEDION LAUNCHES ITS ALL-IN-ONE PC

Yet another All-in-One Desktop PC has arrived in the market – the Touch X9613 by Medion. Unlike most All-in-One PCs in the market, the X9613 has high end hardware and a blu-ray drive.

The Touch X9613 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 2.0 GHz CPU. It is equipped with 4GB of RAM, a capacitive 1TB hard drive. With such a huge storage capacity and a blu-ray drive the system can easily store and play HD movies. To give good graphics performance, there is a Nvidia Geforce GT 240M onboard GPU. The 24 inch display has multi-touch capabilities and comes with a full HD resolution at 1920x1080.

Other features include HDMI input and output, VGA inputs, gigabit Ethernet, Wi-fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, webcam, eSATA, DVB-T, DVB-S and analog TV Tuners along with SCART. The built-in stereo speakers come with subwoofer. The X9613 will run on the Windows 7. It is available in two models priced at $2152 and $2727.

MEDION AKOYA MINI E1210 - RUN OF THE MILL

Medion Akoya Mini has nothing to get exited about but is a stylish and sturdy notebook that is ultraportable and affordable. This notebook is the OEM version of MSI Wind and manufactured by Medion. The Akoya Mini has a 10-inch screen and includes Intel Atom CPU with 1.6 or 1.8 GHz, 1GB RAM, a conventional 1.8 inch hard drive, a VGA output, 1.3MP webcam, a memory slot, 2 USB ports and comes with Linux operating system. The notebook has a black matte finish and has a surprisingly good and comfortable keyboard. The Akoya Mini weighs 1.3kgs which accounts for high mobility.

The battery gives you about 2 hours life and is a bit heavy which tends to tip the balance of the notebook. This is a solid device for everyday computing and you will be disappointed if you are expecting to see any great 3D performances. The Medion Akoya Mini doesn’t have a Bluetooth, 3G or an ExpressCard/34 slot. The power brick is small and the quality of the audio is moderate. But it does have a good SD Card slot for fast transfer of videos and digital images. To wrap up, the Akoya Mini is definitely for those who are looking for a solid and reliable low-cost notebook that will meet their modest everyday needs.

MEDION LAUNCHES P8610 18" MEDIA CENTER NOTEBOOK

It seems like there is big business for laptops with gigantic screens (and why now) as more and more people are trading their desktop systems for "desktop replacement" laptop systems. Medion apparently got that as has just released the P8610 media center notebook that includes an 18" inch screen.

Basic specs includes a 1,680 x 945 resolution (18") screen which is full 16:9 ratio, Dolby audio output in 5.1 surround, 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, d 512MB GeForce 9600M GS graphics card, 3 USB 2.0 ports, eSATA/USB port, HDMI port, VGA port, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/draft-n) and to top it off a 1.3 mega pixel camera.

In case you're wondering about price the system can be yours for the equevilant of $1,100 USD.

MEDION FAMILY EXPANDS

The producer Medion expands its merchandise line by the Akoya S5610. The new-fangled notebook offers the Intel Centrino 2 chipset. The maker Medion revealed its own Centrino 2 little time after the arrangement of the innovative architecture. It is the Medion Akoya S5610. The laptop proffers a 15.4-inch exhibit and gets supported by an ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphics accelerator with 256 MB video RAM. The incorporated processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 with 2.0 GHz and 3 GB DDR2 RAM are also in-built. The accumulation storage apparatus consists of a usual 320 GB hard disk. In addition, there is a 1.3 mega pixel webcam and a finger print reader pre-installed.
