Who would have thought the day would come when the company who introduced the biggest sensation in computers for this year would drop to second place. Well I did (not exactly) but I'm not surprised to hear that Acer has sold over 300k more systems than its rival Asus.In the third quarter of 2008 Acer pushed a whopping 2.15 million units while ASUS during the same time frame did 1.7 million units. And probably most notably is the fact that Acer continues to drop the prices on its systems with such deals as $299 on an XP equipped system at Best Buy who wouldn't want to Aspire to the One? Yeah I know the jokes corney but you get the point.?
Good luck ASUS on beating the crap out of Acer this quarter.
