FUJITSU LIFEBOOK T2020 REVIEW

Fujitsu LifeBook T2020Before the all new Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 model has been introduced, a previous model known as T2010 first came out in the market. But there were some lacking aspects to this model, such that the manufacturers were prompted to make an entirely new model or more of an upgrade by incorporating a new processor and chipset for better quality performance. Did they succeed? You can find out more below.
Features

One of the biggest drawing points for Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 is the sleek and stylish design. But instead of opting for the glossy finish and trying to aesthetically blow you away, it settles for a professional design that does not sacrifice its compact feature. Thus, it is very ideal for use among college students and business professionals alike. It will enable them to jot down important notes on this notebook and you'd love to use it often for it comes with solid chassis and minimal keyboard flex for a great typing experience. The control buttons are also easily accessibly from the bottom of the screen, thus making life easier in case you need to make important adjustments to the brightness setting or the screen orientation.

Meanwhile, the display for Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 is a 12.1-inch WGXA screen that produces some of the best graphics you might have ever seen from a notebook. The vivid colors help to truly bring forth a one-of-a-kind visual quality that delivers in all aspect. And unlike other laptop screens, it does not feature a glossy finish so you won't pinch your eyes just trying to look at it.

But the biggest test to each laptop is basically its system performance and Fujitsu LifeBook T2020 exceeds standard expectations. Using an Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 1.2GHz, along with an Intel GS45 chipset, there is a lot of power on this notebook. With a 120GB 5400 RPM hard drive, there are basically no lag issues so you can perform basic applications at efficient speed. Whether you are doing office tasks, surfing the internet, video streaming, or reading e-mails, you can perform all these within mere seconds. If you are looking for a laptop that would allow you to do some gaming, this is not the one for you though.

Pros

If you're planning to buy Fujitsu LifeBook T2020, you can enjoy the following benefits:

+ The display screen with a bi-directional hinge makes it possible to turn the screen and let it face any direction you wish.
+ The build and design is looking solid such that it can withstand everyday pressure and wear.
+ Aside from a great design, it is also light enough that you won't have trouble bringing it around.
+ The 9-cell battery provides it with a long battery life for a maximum of 11 hours.
+ The wireless connectivity feature enables you to connect online quite easily.

Cons

Before you head on out to buy Fujitsu LifeBook T2020, you need to be aware of the following flaws:

- There is only one built in speaker for this notebook, which results in a below average sound quality.
- The keyboard design results in a springy effect such that typing might be a bit of a hassle to perform.

FUJITSU N7010 DESKTOP REPLACEMENT LAPTOP

The Fujitsu N7010 isn’t quite for professionals who travel long distances frequently. But it does have some features which make it portable and useful on the road. Chief among the useful features is a 4 inch internal display which uses touch technology.

Pros and Cons

The Fujitsu N7010 runs on genuine Windows Vista Home Premium Operating system. It uses the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8400. The keyboard is a bit cramped and there is no separate number pad. At just over 2 hours, the battery life is average. The machine weighs approximately 7.59 pounds.

The 16 inch LCD display provides very crisp images and it is very easy on the eye. You may take some time to get used to using the second display. Read the user guide if you don’t know how to move programs onto it.Unlike other Fujitsu models, this isn’t very sturdy. So be sure to keep it is a well-padded laptop case while traveling.

FUJITSU M2010 NETBOOK

Yes! We're just as tired of all this netbook hoopla as you are, but this one seems to be quite cool (if we do say so ourselves). Turns out Fijitsu is making the market rounds with a netbook that carries built-in Bluetooth and a bundled DVD burner and wireless mouse. Of course the rest of things is standard netbook crap like the 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and 160GB hard drive.

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK U2010 UMPC IS NOW WITH 2GHZ ATOM Z550 PROCESSOR

Fujitsu has come up with an increased processor option in its Loox model UMPCs which include Lifebook U810 and U2010. Introduced last year with 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, the Loox models will now incorporate a 2GH Intel Atom Z550 processor which will enhance the performance of the machine. This processor enhancement has broken Microsoft’s restrictions on XP for notebooks and is probably ready to try hands on Windows 7 RC action for speedy results.

The specifications has not been altered which includes 5.6 inch 1280 x 800 convertible touch screen display, 1GB RAM, 60 / 120GB HDD, Keyboard / Mouse Pointer, Battery capacity 20 (W/hr), Compact Flash slot, SD card slot, WiFi, BT, Webcam, USB 2.0, Fingerprint reader and Vista or XP.

The inclusion of enhanced processor means that this has now become the fastest UMPC in the market. Rumors are around the corner that after Fujitsu, Sony Vaio P and Kohjinsha will also boost up their processors, however the time will only tell the truth. Weighing 610 gm and measuring 171/135/33 mm, this mini notebook will further add a price tag of $383 to its overall cost. Well whether this new feature will lure the consumers, for that we have to wait and watch.

FUJITSU ANNOUNCES SECURE USB MEMORY DEVICE PROTOTYPE

Fujitsu laboratories announced the development of two new technologies: A secure USB memory device and a file redirect technology. A USB memory device technology prevents unauthorized access to data from the device. This technology automatically erases the USB memory after a fixed period of time and the file redirect technology makes sure that the data from the USB memory can be stored only in a particular company server.

You will also have the option to configure the device to erase its memory at a set time. Also if after a fixed period of time the device is plugged into an unauthorized system, the data will either be automatically erased or the USB device will be rendered unusable. For example, you can set the device to delete the memory after 12 hours or the memory will be deleted if the device is plugged into an unauthorized system even once.

Installing the file redirect software in a system will restrict the copying function of the data from the USB device. The data can only be stored in the USB device or on a specified server. This technology can also be used to prevent transfer of data as an e-mail attachment or from being printed. This secure technology also safe guards the data from being transferred to file-sharing networks either accidentally or deliberately.

These two technologies are supposed to work together to give maximum security to your confidential data.

TOSHIBA TO BUY FUJITSU HARD DRIVE BUSINESS

Its not like Fujitsu hasn't been in the hard drive business for a long time. But with recent economic woes it would appear that the Japanese tech firm is interested in selling off their hard drive business to Toshiba who happens to be the largest manufacturer of laptop storage devices.

FUJITSU ST6012 TABLET PC READY FOR ORDER

Its not too many times I get to say this (as not too many of these products are made) but this slate PC from Fijitsu is pretty darn awesome. The new system comes with a 12-inch WXGA display, low voltage Core Duo 2 SU9400 processor, 80GB HDD and 1GB of RAM. If you're looking to really pack in the specs there are options for a built in camera, 9-cell battery (yes you read right), SSD drive, integrated UWB drive, three different docks and some Intel Turbo Memory.

FUJITSU PAVES THE WAY FOR ULTRA LIGHT AND ULTRA THIN BUSINESS MACHINES

Today’s modern epoch demands efficiency and utmost mobility in everything that we do including the way we design the most important tools of our trades. People who are engaged in computing, programming and data examination are now thinking of newer ways of making the daily travel lighter and more enjoyable without sacrificing the computing power of the machines they carry.

Fujitsu has just recently unveiled two new bets for the portable laptop category:

• Fujitsu Lifebook S6510
• Fujitsu Lifebook S7210
Fujitsu Lifebook S6510
These two new notebooks were built for security, durability and style. People who are constantly on the move can depend on the internal infrastructure of the Fujistu Lifebooks the same way that people can trust this company’s copiers and fax machines.

The specs

For those who are wondering what “ultra thin” mean for the two new Fujitsu Lifebooks, the actual measurement is about an inch thick only. With that dimension, you can easily slip it into a non-specialized plastic folder, bag it, and forget about it. Compare to other ultra thin models, this one is a keeper with added durability.

What separates these lightweight contenders for the ultraportable category is their screen size: 14 inches across, to give you all viewing space you might possibly need while altering a company presentation or while watching the occasional DVD movie. The F.L. S6910 weighs just 2 kilos, and even less when you remove the 6-cell battery and other peripherals.

Unlike other ultraportable notebooks, The S6910 and the S7210 both have the much-need optical drives that can be used for countless useful activities, such as reading media and re-installing operating systems in times of trouble. For those who are not into digital storage completely, optical drives offer the possibility of creating back up CDs easily, for important documents and archived materials.

The Fujitsu Lifebooks were designed for the so called “road warriors” of this age: those who are constantly moving from place to place, and need computing machines that would work efficiently in any situation and would connect seamlessly with any network, whether that network be in Sumatra, in New York or in Tokyo.

For the road warriors

Road warriors need machines like the Fujitsu Lifebooks, because these hardy laptops run on Intel Core Duo 2 microprocessors that deliver a swift and sustained performance especially for memory intensive applications such as media editors and similar programs. Whether the user is engaged in advertising or in auditing, the Fujitsu Lifebooks are efficient partners in keeping everything intact.

Lifebooks are equipped for durability- the hard drives are shock-proof and are resilient during repeated transportation and travel. The Lifebooks have also been manufactured using magnesium alloy, one of the more popular choices for laptop bodies because it is more durable but at the same time, very lightweight.

For those who are wondering whether the Lifebooks can be used for online video meetings or conferences or presentations, the answer is a quite positive “Yes!” The Lifebooks have been installed with 1.3 megapixel webcams, adequate for many of the common communication situations over the Internet. Truly, Fujitsu has created “life sustaining” notebooks with these two Lifebooks.
