SAMSUNG LETS LOOSE 4GB DDR3 MEMORY MODULES

Samsung holds quite a few records and this latest one is just as good (or better) than the ones they currently hold. For those who are not interested in buying laptops with DDR2 memory, you should be well aware that the DDR3 models sell for hundreds more. But if you still can't resist having an 8GB DDR3 SO-DIMM in your laptop than Samsung might have you covered in the near future.

Samsung has announced that the new chips that will eventually be available in 32GB DDR3 dram PC models for servers and 8GB DDR3 SO-DIMM models for laptops.

As usual there is no release date or price for that matter. But be assured that when they are released (perhaps by the end of next quarter), you'll be paying some major moola for it.

TOSHIBA LETS LOOSE NEW QOSMIO UPGRADED LAPTOPS

While I will stop short of calling this the sexiest gaming laptop I will say that Toshiba has a pretty good thing going for them with their latest line of Qosmio laptops currently headed for Japan. There are quite a few models but you'll probably be most interested in their 15.4 inch FX model and their 18.1 inch GX model. Both models boast 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo P8600 CPU along with NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, 4GB RAM and a 320GB HDD.

POWER PACKED MACS LOOSE POWER QUICKLY

The most recent Macbook has a lesser battery over the preceding Macbooks. A study has corroborated what some have alarmed - that the new-fangled Macbook Pro notebook battery has a lesser capacity than the aged one. The fresh battery measures in at a perceptible 16% lower capacity, rated at 4700mAh - 50Wh; the elderly battery measured in at 5600mAh - 60Wh. You can still get almost the similar battery life with the new-fangled battery as you could with the preceding one (5 hours, to be precise)...if you choose to utilize the incorporated 9400M graphics accelerator as an alternative of the 9600M GT - switch it on and anticipate no more than 4 hours.
