To keep up with the budget cuts and growing demand for cheaper laptops, Toshiba has decided to revamp their Satellite Pro S300 series notebooks to target the Small and Medium Business's (SMB). The entry level model comes at $529. Instead of just reducing their prices, Toshiba has gone a step ahead and completely redesigned the system to suit the SMB segment by making them tougher and cheaper.
One of the new additions is the 'Easy Guard' feature that includes shock absorption and a spill proof keyboard. Toshiba has also decided to remove some of the preloaded applications which they think that most of the customers have no use for. And for those of you who are not comfortable with the Windows Vista, now you have the right to downgrade to Windows XP Pro with these business-oriented laptops and to top it off, the Satellite Pro S300 series comes with two years of warranty, with an option to extend it for one more year.
