ONE LAPTOP PER CHILD FACES COMPETITION

It was clear from the recent happenings that One Laptop Per Child organization also called as OLPC was not sure of their business strategies and the objectives of the organization. When Microsoft joined the organizations for offering software, many raised eyebrows and expressed doubts on the objective of the organization using open-source software. But Microsoft is just the opposite. Reports say that Mr. Bender left the organization because he thought there “will be impacts from outside more than the impacts from within”. He has started Sugar Labs which will use the open-source software rivaling to the OLPC’s ‘new’ change. Laptops might reach children or not, but OLPC will change again.

DELL FACES THE HAMMER, COURTESY MISPLACED KEYS

Dell has revealed it has ceased shipment of 2 Vostro notebook variants in Europe after spotting out a faulty keyboard devise with a few keys out of place. A Dell purchaser in the U.K., who bought the Vostro 1310, observed that the foot row of letters on the keyboard was transferred to the right. That's for the reason that the left Shift key is outsized and a new key, \, is located between the Shift and Z keys, affecting the entire strip so that it does not adhere with a conventional keyboard layout. Overall a shameful mistake committed for the notebook giants.

APPLE FACES ALL NEW GRAPHICS BASED ISSUES

Apple is intriguing the graphics glitches upsetting its latest notebooks, reports allege. Mac-Book and Mac-Book Pro possessors have been argumentative of intolerable graphics presentation on their equipment on the Apple's own chat forums. They have been continuing strange visual sleaze, in which the text emerges to have been replicated, documents stop working to scroll or videos appear to glimmer. Some reports even claim the dilemmas are resolute in the newest Mac OS X 10.5.3 software, but that is barely currently being disseminated among developers for trying.
