DELL ADAMO XPS TO BE RELEASED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Dell will release its ultra-thin Adamo XPS notebook this holiday season. The Dell Adamo XPS offers a great combination of portability, style and performance.

The Dell Adamo XPS has a 13.4 inch LED backlit display with 1280x720 pixels. The machine weighs 3.2lbs. Based on an Intel GS45 chipset, the Adamo XPS is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.40GHz CULV processor and comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system. Up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM can be installed. The standard storage option is a 120GB solid state drive. Other notable features include Wi-Fib/g/n, HDMI, VGA ports, optional DVD burner/Blu-ray drive, Bluetooth 2.1, DisplayPort and 2 USB 2.0 ports. Dell also provides the option of an external 250GB or 500GB hard disk drive for additional storage.

Two battery options are available. The 20WHr battery is expected to give 2.5 hours of battery life whereas the 40WHr battery may give around 5 hours. Prices start at $1,799.

INTEL'S PINEVIEW PROCESSORS TO BE RELEASED IN Q4 OF 2009

Intel’s next-generation Atom processors, dubbed Pineview, will be released in the last quarter of this year. Netbooks running on these processors are expected to hit the stores during Q1 2010.

The Pineview processors are based on the Pine Trail two-chip platform. These processors have a CPU, GPU and memory controller on the same chip. They are also integrated with Intel’s Tiger Pint I/O. Moving from a 3 chip design to a 2 chip design will make the netbooks more power efficient and even enable fanless netbook designs. Another advantage of a 2 chip platform is that it helps in lowering the costs.

HP MINI 311 OFFICIAL PRESS SHOTS RELEASED

HP has unveiled the official press shots of its upcoming Mini 311 netbook. The device will be known by the name Compaq Mini 311c in Europe.

The Mini 311 is expected to be powered by an ION LE platform. It will have an 11.6 inch display with 1366x768 pixels. HP is yet to announce the netbook officially, but reliable sources claim that it will have an 1.6GHz N270 Atom processor with 1GB of RAM and 160GB of storage.

The keyboard will be nearly full-sized. Other features include Wi-Fi (b/g), Bluetooth, HDMI out, three USB 2.0 ports, webcam and 5-in-1 card reader. The Mini 311 will be available in two colors – black and white.

No information regarding pricing or availability has been announced.

HP ENVY 15 SPECIFICATIONS RELEASED

HP has recently released an Envy line of notebooks. The latest offering from the series - the HP Envy 15 – has a 1.6GHz Intel Core i7 720QM processor with 6MB of L2 cache. The hard disk spinning at 7200rpm has a maximum capacity of 320GB. The notebook comes preinstalled with 4GB of RAM, but it can be upgraded to 16GB. For handling the graphics and video, there is a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830GPU.

Other features include 3 USB 2.0 ports, multi-touch keyboard, 1 eSATA/USB combo port, HDMI, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Envy 15 will run on Windows 7 Home Premium so it will be available until at least the arrival of Operating System in October. HP also plans to release an Envy 13 notebook.

HP already has a Voodoo Envy line of notebooks known for their high-end specifications. The new Envy line might end up being a relatively cheap alternative to the premier Voodoo notebooks.

NEW EXPRESSCARD STANDARD RELEASED

The PCMCIA organization has finalized the ExpressCard 2.0 standard. The new 2.0 standard is 10 times faster than the previous 1.2 standard and will offer transfer rates of up to 5Gbps.

The PCMCIA’s ExpressCard and PC Card slots are used in almost every notebook. Several manufactures including AMD, Fujitsu Siemens, LG Electronics, Intel, Lenovo, Lexar Media, Microsoft, Qualcomm, SanDisk, Sony, Texas Instruments and Toshiba support the ExpressCard Standard now.

The new 2.0 standard is backward compatible with the earlier 1.2 standard, so you will have no problem using your existing ExpressCard devices on the new card slots. Devices based on the new ExpressCard 2.0 Standard will be available by 2011.

MOBLIN 2.0 VIDEO DEMO RELEASED

You're probably aware of Intel's efforts to create an O.S specifically geared towards the netbook arena. The name of that project has been Moblin and has gotten the official blessings of Linux (what its built off of). That said, we now have a video demo of version 2.0.

While we haven't been much of a fan of any other netbook O.S except for Ubantu or Window's XP (and soon to be Window's 7), we have to say this one looks pretty slick. But you can see for yourself in the video below.

TOSHIBA RELEASED NB200 NETBOOK IN EUROPE WITH 9 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE

On the heels of launching its latest UX series of notebooks in Japan, Toshiba has just launched another of its notebook in Europe. The newly launched notebook is known as the Toshiba NB200.

The notebook is the answer from Toshiba, to all the latest notebooks that boasts of a long battery life. With this new notebook, Toshiba has decided to beat them all. The Toshiba NB200 will provide a battery backup for a total of 9 hours.

However, the extended battery backup is the only thing that makes the Toshiba NB200 different. Apart from that, all the other specifications of the notebook are as same as any other 10-inches laptop.

Some of the other specifications of the Toshiba NB 200 are a 10-inch screen lit by a LED-backlight; the Intel Atom N270 processor of a total 1.6 GHz, also available is an option of a N280 processor of 1.66GHz. The notebook has a 160GB Hard drive. It has an integrated webcam, Bluetooth connectivity, WiFi support and it uses the Windows XP operating system.

The notebook comes complete with a full size tiled keyboard. It also has a touchpad, which is extra large in size and has a wireless LAC ocnnectivity option.

The Toshiba NB200 is set to cost a total of £319.

ASUS RELEASED EEE PC 1003H IN ITALY

Eee PC 1000H has been recently launched in Italy with a variation in its name and the new name of the model is Eee PC 1003H Go. If you are not able to recognize the model then here is a clue for you. The said one was introduced in the CeBIT event for the first time. According to the sources, Eee PC is reporting that the above said model is available for anyone who is subscribed to the monthly data plan of Fastweb. So firstly you have to be a Fastweb subscriber. Then secondly you have to subscribe to the monthly data plan of 30.90 Euro per month. If you do the subscription accordingly then only you can get this netbook and this promo is exclusive.

For your information this Eee PC 1003H Go has built in 3G/HSPA integrated. But apart from this equipment Eee PC1003H Go has nothing special to be featured. So if you are looking for something else in this netbook then we are unfortunate to say the above statement.

But still we can help you saying that this netbook has some common features with Eee PC 1002HA which are Intel Atom N270, Wifi, 1.3 mega pixel webcam, Bluetooth, 160 GB HDD, card reader and also 10 GB of additional Eee Storage in the clouds.

AVERATEC AVN0270NB AND KOHJINSHA ML6 RELEASED IN JAPAN

Two different netbooks have recently been launched in Japan. According to Akihabara News these are the Kohjinsha ML6 netbook and Averatec AVN0270NB from Trigem. Though neither of the products belongs to any leading laptop or computer manufacturing brands, but still they are considered to be of standard quality in their respective grade. Such models are found in U.S.

The Trigem AVN0270NB netbook has a bigger screen size of 10-inches while the Kohjinsha ML6L16A netbook possess a screen size of 8.9-inches. The Trigem model has an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD and an Intel 945 GMS chipset. Also it has WiFi and a battery life of 5 hours. You will get it in the Japanese market worth 340 Euro.

Coming to another one that is the Kohjinsha ML6L16A, an upgrade version of the earlier ML6 netbook, will come in black, white, Bordeaux, blue, pink and champagne colors. The screen size has already been mentioned. And besides that it consists of an Intel Atom N270 (1.6 GHz) CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, WiFi. The price tag is not yet fixed.

The availability of these models is within Japan only and not internationally.

MICROSOFT IE8 TO BE RELEASED AT 12:00 -5 GMT TODAY

It seems like Microsoft thinks IE8 is ready for the fight of its life. So happens that Redmond is planning to release Internet Explorer 8 today in New York for the masses. You might not like said browser but its a known fact that your IT department does so you had better get familiar with it. HP 6-CELL BATTERY FOR MINI 1000 RELEASED

Its quite funny because almost always we know what tech companies are going to release before they actually do. This is impart thanks to the ever growing tech blogsphare and of course those neat camera phones and other picture taking devices that can be put in places we shall not discuss here.

PERIPHERAL GRAPHICS CARD LIKELY TO BE RELEASED BY FUJITSU
