COMPAL ELECTRONICS TO SHIP 1 MILLION UNITS

Compal Electronics predicts to ship approximately one million net books in the 2nd half this year, according to business president Ray Chen. Compal will establish mass production of Dell's E-series net books in August. Chen also revealed he predicts the company's laptop shipments will see a chronological boost of 20% in the 2nd half; however the consignment growth will not be competent to recuperate the plummet in consignments in the 2nd quarter.
