Altec Lansing has released an update to its popular XT1 laptop speakers. Dubbed XT2, these speakers are sleek and come with innovative looks. They weigh very little and are highly portable.
The XT2 provides good volumes with better audio clarity than the built-in speakers found on most laptops. The speakers also come with a built-in microphone for Voice over IP communication. A very useful feature of this speaker set is that it can be folded and put in the supplied travel case which has enough room for the speakers, cables and an AC adapter which has different plugs for different countries.
The XT2 speakers can be powered by USB. They lack bass, but there is an optional subwoofer.
