ACER ASPIRE TIMELINE 1820PTZ UP FOR PRE-ORDER IN THE UK

The Acer Aspire Timeline 1820PTZ is now up for pre-order in the UK. This is one of the first Aspire Timeline laptops to feature a touch-screen display.

The 1820PTZ has an 11.6 inch touch screen display which can be folded down over the keyboard to use the laptop in the tablet mode. And the touch-screen will allow you to take notes using a stylus.

Some online retailers in the UK have started taking pre-orders for the 1820PTZ, but it is unlikely to start shipping before January 25th. The laptop is going for around £529.99 (about $863) with free shipping. But prices may drop when it is launched in the US.

The Aspire Timeline 1820PTZ is powered by a 1.3GHz Intel Pentium SU4100 dual core processor with integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics. The 11.6 inch touch-screen display comes with 1366 x 768 pixels. Up to 3GB of RAM and 160GB storage are available. There are 3 USB ports. Other features include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, a webcam, Ethernet, VGA and HDMI ports. The 6-cell battery is expected to provide up to 8 hours of up time. The laptop runs Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

ASUS EEE PC 1005P AND 1005PE UP FOR PRE-ORDER IN ITALY

Every PC maker is busy launching devices around the upcoming Pine Trail chips and Asus is no different. The company is planning to release updated versions of the Eee PC 1005HA. The new devices dubbed Eee PC 1005P and 1005PE will reportedly have a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor. While the 1005P will have a 160 GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM, the 1005PE will have a 250 GB hard drive. The latter will also support Bluetooth. Both notebooks will run on Windows 7 Starter Edition.

The Eee PC 1005P will retail for around $345, while the slightly higher priced 1005PE will cost around $382. The notebooks are now available for pre-order in many parts of Europe.

ACER ASPIRE TIMELINE 1810TZ OLYMPIC EDITION NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER

The Acer Aspire Timeline 1810TZ Olympic Edition thin and light notebook is now available for pre-order. It is essentially the same Aspire Timeline 1810TZ, but it has an Olympic logo on the lid. And while the standard Aspire 1810TZ goes for about $579.99, the Olympic edition costs about $30 more. The machine runs Windows 7 Home Premium.

The notebook is equipped with an 11.6 inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core SU4100 processor. Up to 3GB of RAM can be installed and up to 320GB of storage space is available. The Aspire 1810TZ Olympic Edition is now available for pre-order from Amazon. Interestingly, the standard Aspire 1810TZ is hard to find these days.

ION-POWERED ASUS EEE PC 1201N UP FOR PRE-ORDER

The Asus Eee PC 1201N is one of the three different versions of the upcoming Eee PC 1201 line of notebooks. One of the most anticipated notebooks of the year, the 1201N is now available for pre-order, but it unlikely to start shipping until early next year.

Bloggers who managed to get their hands on the Eee PC 1201N says that it is kind of a beefed up version of the 1005HA.

The 1201N has a 12 inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels. Because of its dual-core Atom 330 processor and Nvidia ION graphics, the 1201N should deliver better performance than your typical netbook. The larger 6 cell, 5200mAh battery is expected to last for up to 8 hours.

Up to 3GB of DDR2 RAM can be installed. The hard drive comes in 250GB or 320GB storage capacity. Asus also provides up to 500GB of web-based storage.

The 1201N will run Windows 7 Home Premium. Available connectivity options are WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and Ethernet. Other notable features include 0.3 MP webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, SD card slot.

The touchpad supports multi-touch controls. The 1201N is available in black and silver. It is expected to cost around $499.

ASUS EEE PC 1201N UP FOR PRE-ORDER, UL20A STARTS SHIPPING

The Asus Eee PC 1201N, the first NVIDIA ION-powered notebook from Asus, is now available for pre-order. The device has an 11.6 inch display with 1366x768 pixels. And if sources are correct, it runs on a dual core 1.6GHz Intel Atom N330 processor. The mini laptop now retails for around $499.

Meanwhile, the Asus UL20A has started shipping. This notebook is equipped with a 12.1 inch display and runs on a 1.3GHz Intel SU7300 CULV processor. The Asus UL20A comes with integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics so don’t expect it to deliver the same graphics performance as the 1201N which is equipped with Nvidia’s ION graphics. Asus, however, said that the UL20A is capable of playing 1080p video and HD Flash video. It also has a significantly faster browser which will considerably improve the overall performance of the notebook. This model retails for $581 at Amazon. And as part of a promotion customers who order the notebook now will get a $75 gift card from Amazon.

SAMSUNG N510 UP FOR PRE-ORDER

The Samsung N510 is now up for pre-order. The netbook is already available in many parts of Europe.

The Samsung N510 runs on a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor with NVIDIA ION graphics. It has an 11.6 inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels. Up to 2GB of RAM can be installed. The netbook comes with 250GB of storage space. Other features include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, VGA and Ethernet. There are 3USB 2.0 ports. There is also an HDMI port for transferring video to an external monitor.

The N510 runs Windows 7 Home Premium and has a 5900mAh battery. It is selling for between $575 and $583 at the moment.

ASUS T91MT NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER

Asus plans to roll out an updated version of its Eee PC T91 touchscreen convertible netbook. Like the previous version, the new model is also powered by a 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor. Though it ships with 1GB of RAM, it is upgradable to 2GB.

The new Eee PC T91MT runs on Windows 7 Home Premium. It has an 8.9 inch touch screen display that supports multi-touch gestures. The display can be folded down over the keyboard to use the device in the tablet mode. Another update over the previous version is the SSD which is now available in 32GB capacity. Asus also offers 500GB of free online storage.

The Asus Eee PC T91MT is now available for pre-order from Amazon for $549. The netbook has a non-removable battery which is expected to give up to 5 hours of run time. Other features include Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and up to 2GB of RAM.

HP PAVILION DM1 AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER

The HP Pavilion DM1 is the first HP laptop with an 11.6 inch display and a CULV (Consumer Ultra Low Voltage) processor. The device is now available for pre-order in the UK. There are still no US release dates.

The Pavilion DM1 is a thin and light entertainment notebook powered by an Intel Celeron Dual Core Processor SU2300. It runs on Windows 7 Home Premium. Up to 1GB of DDR3 RAM can be installed. The standard storage option is a 250GB SATA hard disk drive spinning at 5400rpm. Other notable features include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader, Multi media cards, Memory Stick and integrated webcam with Microphone.

There are 3USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI, 1 VGA port, 1 RJ45 Ethernet connector, headphone and microphone jacks.

The 11.6 inch LED widescreen display has 1366x768 pixels. The keyboard is nearly full-sized and the touchpad comes with dedicated vertical Scroll up and Down. The 6-cell battery is expected to give 6 hours of battery life.

MSI WIND U210 NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER IN THE US

MSI has not yet technically released its Wind U210 laptop in the US, but it is now available for pre-order. The MSI Wind U210 is already available in the Europe; now it can be purchased in the US as well.

The Wind U210 is an updated version of the Wind U200. While the U200 has an Intel processor, the U210 uses an AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 1.6GHz processor. Up to 2GB of RAM can be installed on this notebook. The hard disk drive capacity is 250GB.

The Wind U210 has a discrete AMD Radeon X1250 graphics processor. The 12.1 inch LCD screen features a 1366x768 resolution. Besides VGA, there is an HDMI port for transferring video to an external monitor. The six cell battery is expected to give 5 hours of uptime.

ASUS Eee PC 1005HA AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER VIA AMAZON

MSI WIND U123 NETBOOK AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AND NOW BEING STOCKED BY US RETAILERS

Samsung is at it again, this time with a netbook that supports 2.1-channel speakers with the worlds smallest subwoofer. The N120 carries the basic netbook configurations as well as a 10.5 hour battery life.

Eee PC 100HE WITH 9.5 HOUR BATTERY UP FOR PRE-ORDER

Its not like companies to release major updates to existing products via their social networking space, but that is exactly what Asus has done witrh the new 1000HE ("e" standing for extended).

The 10-inch netbook comes with a a LED backlit screen and a new chicklet keyboard as well as 802.11N WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0. HDD is 160GB and if that is not enough for your extensive video collection, Asus gives you another 10GB of online storage.

DELL INSPIRON MINI 10 AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER ON QVC

The newest addition to the Dell lineup, the Dell Mini 10 is now available for pre-order on QVC website. We first got a glimpse of the Mini 10 at the CES which had nothing much to differentiate it from the existing Dell Mini 12 and 9.

The new Dell Mini 10 is powered by Intel Atom 1.6GHZ Z530 processor , 160GB of HD storage capacity, 1GB DDR2 SDRAM and Intel GMA 500. It also includes 1.3 megapixel web camera, 3 USB 2.0, HDMI, Ethernet and 3-in-1 media card reader ports. The Dell Mini 10 has a 10.1-inch display with SVGA 1024x576 resolution and LED backlit. It also has WiFi 802.11g and weighs 2.6 pounds. The main attraction is the wide-set and comfortable edge-to-edge keyboard design.

The Dell Mini 10 is priced at $559 with a shipping date set to March 13th. But you can start to place your order via QVC which will air the details on TV starting from tomorrow.

You can get it far cheaper for $399 if you wait till February 26th when Dell will officially start to take orders on their site Dell.com, for a slightly modified version of the Mini 10 which comes with 1.2GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM and 160 GB HD.
