The HP Pavilion DM1 is the first HP laptop with an 11.6 inch display and a CULV (Consumer Ultra Low Voltage) processor. The device is now available for pre-order in the UK. There are still no US release dates.
The Pavilion DM1 is a thin and light entertainment notebook powered by an Intel Celeron Dual Core Processor SU2300. It runs on Windows 7 Home Premium. Up to 1GB of DDR3 RAM can be installed. The standard storage option is a 250GB SATA hard disk drive spinning at 5400rpm. Other notable features include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader, Multi media cards, Memory Stick and integrated webcam with Microphone.
There are 3USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI, 1 VGA port, 1 RJ45 Ethernet connector, headphone and microphone jacks.
The 11.6 inch LED widescreen display has 1366x768 pixels. The keyboard is nearly full-sized and the touchpad comes with dedicated vertical Scroll up and Down. The 6-cell battery is expected to give 6 hours of battery life.
