YOU CAN NOW GET YOUR 16-INCH ASUS F50SV-X1 IF YOU DON'T OWN A MAC

If you have no Mac to speak of, interested in a 16-inch monster weighing 6.3 pounds and carrying some average specs, then you can check out Asus new laptop nicknamed the F50SV-X1 (actually that's its real name).

HP BRINGING OUT 16-INCH AMD DV6Z LAPTOP

Seems like HP has been showing AMD some love lately. From what we've been hearing HP is set to release an AMD variant of its 16-inch dv6t laptop that will start below $600, ($599.99 to be exact). More importantly is the fact that there will be a coupon that will knock off an additional $30 at launch with the option of a new HP DeskJet printer.

ASUS 16-INCH F50 AND F70 LAPTOPS

Most people wouldn't believe that Asus can actually manufacturer something other than a tiny plastic netbook. But alas they can and in case you have not noticed, those famous Lamborghini laptops floating around the place are the work of their hands.

But not everyone has money for such an expensive system so you're welcome to try their new line of notebooks. The F50 comes in 16 inch flavors and the F70 comes in 17-inch flavors.

The systems sport full HD 1080p panels as well as HDMI ports and a "Chocolate keyboard." There's also one of those instant on OS which allows you to do certain basic tasks without waiting a year and a day for Vista to boot. HDD space can go up to 1TB and of course you have the option for a Blu-Ray drive. System RAM can be maxed out at 4GB DDR2 and you get an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G graphics card.

1.3 megapixel webcam and Bluetooth 2.0 as well as 802.11b/g/n all make it onto the device.

So far Asus is keeping a tight lip on pricing and release date, but we wouldn't be surprised if we see these out before the end of March.
