ACER TURNS ASPIRE 1410 INTO ASPIRE TIMELINE 1820PT


The Acer Aspire Timeline 1820PT is now available for pre-order in many parts of the world. The mini laptop has more or less the same size and specifications as the Aspire 1410 a.k.a Aspire 1810T. But this machine is a tablet with a touch screen display and a swivel which allows you to fold the display down over the keyboard.

Like the 1810T, the 1820PT is powered by a dual core 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor with integrated Intel GMA X4500MHD graphics. Up to 8GB of RAM can be installed. The hard disk is available in 320GB capacity. There is an HDMI port for transferring video to an external monitor. Other features include Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g and optional 3G. The 11.6 inch high resolution display features 1366 x 768 pixels. The original Aspire 1810T didn’t have a touch-screen display.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPAM – IT TURNS 30

Today marks 30 years from the time when the 1st spam email was ever sent. Spam turns 30 today and its presence and dominance in the world of communication has been a pivotal reason of disturbance. May 3, 1978, Gary Thuerk sent out email that would go into records of the history as the 1st ever spam email. Sent across to a maximum of 393 users on the U.S. Government computer association Arpanet, the email in queries enclosed a billboard for the Digital Equipment Corporation, where actually Gary worked. The term spam didn't come into view until about 15 years later. It has from the time then had been memorialized on Brad Templeton's website.
