NOKIA N95 REVIEW

An Introduction
Those of you who were fortunate enough to lay hands on the N95 Nokia cell phone, like me, know it is yet another masterpiece from the well-known giant. Since its launching in the September 2006, the Nokia N95 has rocked the entire world. Not only the professional class liked it, youngsters in colleges or high schools also appreciated this highly anticipated handset. Come; let us closely scrutinize this handset that stole away the hearts of many people.

Design
The Nokia N95 is a light-weight mobile phone bearing a soft touch finish. The cell phone features a sharp 2.6-inch 240 x 320-pixel screen, two-way sliding mechanism, 5-megapixel auto focus camera and GPS functionality. Just slide the top lid to reveal alphanumeric keypad or push it in other direction to navigate through a column of media playback keys. The phone is designed to offer multimedia player facilities as well. The multimedia player supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA/M4A formats with OMA DRM 2.0.
Performance
The overall call quality of Nokia N95 is good. Users get pure and clear sound even in the loudspeaker mode. But, when one activates multimedia screen, the phone takes some time to return to its default home screen. Nevertheless, pairing this Nokia’s baby with accessories such as the Nokia Bluetooth Speaker MD-5W is a hassle-free affair. Delivering 4 hours of talk time along with approx. nine days of standby time, Nokia N95’s battery does not last for more than 1.5 days when users make use of GPS, Wi-Fi, music playback (for some time), send text messages and answer a few calls.

Quick Look at Features:
OS Series 60 3rd edition
Quadband (850/900/1,800/1,900MHz) smart phone
Integrated Wi-Fi (802.11b/g)
UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)
Bluetooth (with A2DP)
Infrared
Mini-USB port for desktop synchronization
Capability to read PDF files and barcode with the Barcode scanner app
160MB onboard memory with extendable 2GB microSD flash media support

Pros: HSDPA, Wi-Fi, onboard GPS, 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and mini-USB connector.

Cons: The dissatisfactory battery life and multiple tasking yielding to soggy performance makes you feel like you have not got money’s worth.

Conclusion
The Nokia N95 is a feature rich cell phone available at a great price. Even there are some problems in the cell phone; I would recommend it for its premium applications. Professionals can use this smartphone for both fun and leisure, i.e., to access their MS Office database, send emails, listen music and even record videos. Youngsters pick the model to make people around envy.
