The Vaio SZ series from Sony was announced at CES in January 2006. The series features a 13-inch widescreen with overall high quality. This series is meant for the business man and it offers business features like hard disk protection, Bluetooth, biometric security, optional WWAN etc. This series is actually the replacement of the older Vaio S series. The Vaio SZ series will only weigh around 3.5 pounds which is 1 pound lighter then the older 4,5 pounds S series. The basic version of the SZ series starts at 2000$ and the carbon fiber version which is of higher quality starts at 2200$. These machines are expected to be a very good series from Sony, since it is the upgrade from the Vaio S series which was brilliant at the time it came out.
