The Sony VAIO VGN-NR160E is the latest Notebook by Sony in the medium cost range. Although it is not as flashy from the outside as its predecessors, it is still attractive because of its sheer simplicity in design. The keyboard keys are a little bigger and it comes with a light Silk white lid with a black matte bottom. The quality of sound is above average and runs with Intel Core 2 duo technology. The RAM however is only 1 GB which reduces the performance a little bit.
Pros
+ Very good battery life (3 hours, 41 minutes)
+ Large wireless range, works well even at 50 feet
+ Clear display
Cons
- No multimedia keys and webcam
- Average performance
- Bad vertical viewing angles of the screen
Conclusion
The Sony VAIO NR160 E is a great laptop to own as it has the features of the more expensive Vaio notebooks and gives good performance. However, the looks are not as great as ither VAIO notebooks.
