TOSHIBA SATELLITE A215-S4697 LAPTOP REVIEW

Introduction
This is an average laptop with an average performance and an average design. Personally I don’t find this laptop attractive but let’s take a closer look what the Toshiba A215-S4697 got to offer.

Design
The design on this laptop is actually very boring and I cannot find one original thing on it. It looks like a standard student laptop and it is very boring to look at. On this laptop you will get a 15-inch screen which is glossy and of okay quality. The screen got a resolution of 1280 x 800 so it is quite okay to watch movies and DVD’s on it. Other features includes a 160 GB hard disk, 1 GB of RAM (4 GB maximum) 54g Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), ATI Radeon X1200 video card with up to 319 MB of shared video RAM, 5-in-1 memory card reader, and a biometric fingerprint scanner for added security

Performance
I don’t have much to say here but the performance is average. You will be able to play some games, actually most games except for the newest DX10 games. The 1.6 GHz 64-bit AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 processor and the ATI Radeon X1200 video card work well together.

Conclusion
This is an all around laptop which can be used by most people. The laptop does not offer anything special or new. There has also been reported several bugs about this machine, especially one where the screen goes blank and you have to re-start your laptop again and again. I do not recommend this laptop for anyone because there are so many better choices out there.
