Status and Excellence , the two words that can describe this laptop completely. The laptop has eye-catching executive looks, and has a good performance chart to boot. Lets put it through the grill, and find out what stuff its made up of.

Design
The laptop is covered with leather , giving it a plush look. It comes in different leathers, like light brown , cherry , black. The leather is done so aesthetically , that initially it looks like a diary. The Asus badge in chrome makes the difference here. Dust cover hides and protects the available ports viz USB , modem , LAN and a MIC port. WiFi and Bluetooth switches are outside this cover, which when clicked , enable the product for communication. On the right side are the DVD-RW drives, one USB , Card reader , PCI-E slot. Back of the system has the AC port and mini Firewire port.

On opening the laptop , you find a 11.1 inch screen which is simply mind-blowing. Below is a strip, which is the speaker of the product. The hinge has the LEDs which show power-on and status. The entire wrist area is leather-cushioned. The touchpad is in the center of this area, having 2 buttons and scroll which is activated by touchpad utility.

Performance
The S6's powercore is the Core-2-duo L2300, which handles most of the tasks easily. The product comes bundled with Windows Vista Business Edition. 1Gb of RAM provided is sufficient to handle day to day needs of an average user , be it work , entertainment, or light games. If you are thinking of playing high-end games on this one , you will have to chuck your idea because this laptop is not at all made for gaming. The machine scores 2768 PC marks, which is not really impressive.
Running on a 6-cell powerpack, the battery lasted around 3 hours. Thus, the battery life is average.

Conclusion
The laptop is light and has a brilliant styling. The screen, though small, is good in clarity and doesn't strain your eyes. The performance is just average , not at all worth the price of the product. Consider this one only if you are a high-level executive and have similar company. No doubt, this one will be an object of jealousy for quite sometime to come.
