ASUS U6S LAPTOP REVIEW

Introduction
This is another ultra portable laptop from Asus. These laptops are now getting very popular and almost every manufacturer are making them. The latest one from Asus is the U6S which offers a 12-inch screen and great performance.

Design
I simply love the design on this machine it is very cool, sexy and stylish. Even though the laptop is so small the keyboard is superb, it feels really great to write at this keyboard, even long articles. The laptop is overall glossy and comes with a somewhat dark and brownish color. U6S also comes with many great connection facilities like for example 4 USB ports, HDMI output and analogue D-Sub. This laptop is also very solid and it does not show and sign if flexing. The rest of the U6S appears well built, too.

Performance
Here you get quality high-end hardware, a 2.2GHz Intel T7500 dual-core CPU, 2GB of DDR2 667MHz RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. The best part is that you actually get a Geforce 8400M G in this little laptop. When we did a PCMark05 test it scored 4,584 in PCMark05, meaning it runs at about the same speed as the XPS M1330. On 3DMark06 we got 1245 3DMarks which is very acceptable for a laptop in this size. You can actually run games like Half-Life 2 in a decent frame rate and with okay graphics. However the battery is not much to brag about, it only lasted 40 minutes under the battery stress test but overall the performance is strong!

Conclusion
This is a very good and portable laptop with excellent design and performance. You can compare it closest to the Dell XPS m1330. This laptop is solid all around and it is my favorite portable laptop so far.

Pros
+ Excellent performance
