The Echo Peak WI MAX/Wi-Fi and Shirley Peak Wi-Fi modules will initiate shipping to laptop producers in the 2nd and 3rd quarter of 2008. With Echo Peak and Shirley Peak make public, Intel anticipates quicker 802.11n Wi-Fi adoption. The Echo Peak wireless modules has supports both Wi-MAX and 802.11n Wi-Fi and will be available with the price tag of $43 to $54 per unit. The $19-$30 Shirley Peak module will support only the N-Wi-Fi protocol.
