Design
The laptop comes in Coral Pink, Lime Green, Denim Blue variety of colors, and the laptops have been designed in a way that appeals to the young crowd. The color scheme is very well designed for this crowd. A 12” screen which can handle a maximum resolution of 1280x800 pixels is provided. The screen is good in terms of quality but problems like small viewing angle and reflectivity issues hamper its performance. A 1.3MP webcam and microphone near the screen are available for video conference sessions. The keypad is well designed to support touch typing, and the touchpad has got a nice feel to it. A fingerprint reader has been placed between the mouse buttons near the touchpad to cover the security part. The left of the notebook has the VGA , DVD, Ethernet port and one USB port. Rear and front have the power, headphone/microphone ports respectively. Right is flanked by 2 USB, 1 HDMI and a 4-in-1 Card reader.
Performance
The laptop runs on a 1.7GHz AMD 64 X2 processor, 1 GB RAM, 120GB hard drive. The laptop performance is not very great , but as compared to other notebooks in this category its quite good, especially considering its pricing. A 2,774 in PCMark05 and 1545 in 3DMark03 is an acceptable score. The battery life is something to boast about here, with the battery lasting nearly 4 hours after a full charge. The laptop's WiFi capabilities are also above all other notebooks in its category, with good speeds even at a large distance.
Conclusion
This laptop is a good performer according to its pricing , but compared to other laptops in the same category, it bites the dust. The networking power is quite good, and so is the battery life. It is a good option for its flaunt value and economical pricing.
