PROCESSOR KING INTEL EXPOSES SILVERTHORNE

The king of processor Intel is now in the process of exposing its low-power Silverthorne processor in a presentation at the International Solid State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) by the week. This one would set the state for intensive push in to the industry for Ultraportable devices. "This is the first detailed technical presentation on Silverthorne," said Justin Rattner, Intel's chief technology officer and director of the company's Corporate Technology Group. Silverthorne is actually the first x86 chip indented by Intel particularly for small portable notebooks. Till date, Intel has taken earlier processors initially planned for notebooks and tailored them for use in portable devices.
