AT&T REPORTS FOR A STOLEN NOTEBOOK

A notebook containing private information on AT&T human resources and management was stolen from a recruit’s vehicle last month, the company revealed.
The notebook, which had no encryption or safety fortification further than a password lock, enclosed names, Social Security numbers, and income information for an unrevealed number of workers. Employees were notified of the burglary on May 22, 7 days after the theft, with regards to seclusion supervisory body, which 1st reported the story. In a correspondence to employees, AT&T said that, "The actions and safety measures we put in place to defend the safety of company-owned belongings and our employees' private in sequence were not followed."
