Consumer target is the main feature of many notebooks today in the market. ThinkPad revolution would have clearly explained the consumer target and the competitions among the companies to make their laptops more competent. Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 falls under this category quickly, maintaining a rigid notepad at affordable quality and prices for students and people in houses. The reason why we tell that it is affordable is because of the quality that follows the attractive price package that it comes with. IdeaPads from Lenovo has seen many varieties, but this model stands out for some reasons. Go on to know about it.
Design
Yes, the important part of discussion particularly to this model. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 Laptop has broken the rules of other IdeaPads and has maintained a sleek design in terms of customer orientation. There are no extra efforts to make the laptop shine, but the design itself speaks with the outer lid, quality, and orange LED power lights wherever needed etc. the looks have changed and they look decent. But the solid appearance of the laptop has not changed. It remains like its ancestors. But not everything is fine in design. There are certain flaws like the wide screen display with gaudy effects, Lack of a port for external display connection etc.
Performance
The laptop cannot do injustice to the consumers of colleges, homes etc. The performance is certainly better than many IdeaPads that we have been seeing for the past some months. With the 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo T5450 processor and the memory of 2GB DDR2, the laptop works quite efficiently. The storage capacity is taken care by the 250GB hard drive and the gaudy display is from a 15.4-inch LCD. The Integrated Intel GMA X3100 has done justice to the graphics. Entire performance is better with the Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. But battery life is little disturbing.
Pros and Cons
Affordability, style looks and sleek design will form the positive parts of the model whereas battery life, reflective screen will form the drawbacks.
