The competition for ultra portable and cheap laptops are high up in the air and there are several companies that have started working on the cut-down laptops, cheap, portable ones etc. MSI is out with its brand new model of Wind ultra-portable, better to be called as the direct competitors of Eee PC 900 or HP 2133 Mini-Note. The laptop hasn’t left out in the market formally and is expected to be launched in the month of June and in the event called Computex. Go on to know about the new, ultra mobile laptop and its features before it hits the market.
Design
The design gives the firs impressions of this Wind ultra-portable laptop which is surely a breeze. The looks of the laptop give an impression of being a solid structure leaving us to forget that it is made by plastic. Not very glossy, but the model is sure to be attractive. The screen and the keyboard are much bigger than those competitors’. The dimensions are At 260 x 180 x 19mm and it weighs 1.26kg. The keyboard and the key top are very comfortable to dwell with. The design is a comfortable one making you forget it is one of those reasonably priced laptops.
Performance
The performance of this laptop gives a competitive edge over others due to the very fact that it is got the very special processor. We feel that this is the laptop of the kinds, which will be having the highest specifications. The processor that is unique along with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, 80Gb 5400rpm hard disk and Windows XP SP2 will obviously result in the optimum performance of the laptop. This performance also results in the doubtful situations where we will juggle between the choices. The optional battery is very promising. The specifications are very promising and they lead to a good experience.
Pros and Cons
The battery is optional and that will be a drawback. But with the small flaws taken out of consideration (those are common in these kinds of laptops), the processor is the great advantage and so is the performance.
