TOP LAPTOPS OF MAY

The top laptops for the month of May are five of the lightest weight laptops available. These laptops are loaded with some of the newest technology in a small lightweight package. They are great for anyone traveling for business. These top picks were tested to see which gave the most power in a lightweight package. These five are thought to give every user the highest quality for the money spent.

The top pick is the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop. This laptop had solid construction so there were no worries about traveling. This model also gives the traveler just about everything that a business man could need. The X300 is not like other portables that only offer touch pads. This model offers both an eraser head and a touch pad. It also has full size keys and proper oriented arrows keys. What the X300 might lack in the style department, it definitely makes up for with way better features than other top models.

The second pick of the month is the Asus U2E Laptop. This model has a long list of extras along with leather trim that makes this laptop one to be desired by any business man. It offers a wide screen display that can be easily viewed in cramped spaces. The Asus U2E was ranked second among a total of five laptops, but the laptop is still fast in general. This laptop also offers the capability to connect to HDTV with the HDMI port.

The third choice for May is the Toshiba Protégé R500 Laptop. These models allow you to easily twist the screen to deflect the light by maybe an inch or so. This laptop seemed to be a little bit slow, but the battery life of 5.5 hours definitely raised the score. The R500 still has an analog volume button. It has only one USB port, but offers a finger print reader along with a status button next to the mouse buttons. The protégé also comes with Ethernet.

May’s fourth choice for the month is the Sony VAIO VGN-TZ295N Laptop. This laptop is close to the size of a hard cover book that weights only 2.6 pounds. It comes with an 11.1 inch screen and display that uses LED backlighting technology. The screen is a great feature on this model. This Vaio is closely ranked with the Lenovo when it comes to performance. The battery life was even better at 6.5 hours. The Sony model offers an off switch for the integrated Sprint EvDO Revision A mobile wireless circuitry. The key pad with the cut out design looks great, but the keys are small making it difficult to type.

The final selection for May was the Fujitsu LifeBook P8010. This is a true business laptop because it is one of the lightest laptops of the group. It was one of the slowest in the performance test out of the high end laptops that we reviewed though. The battery life was around 3.5 hours. The 12.1 inch screen looks okay, but does not stand up to the other laptops at this level. This laptop has plenty of slots and ports but does lack the much desired HDMI port. It does offer Firewire port and PC Card slot. This is great for those with wireless networking cards lying around.
