The world of electronics is emerging in a rate that’s never before imagined. With the market leaders striving to hold their stake, it’s the rest of the players offering strict combat in order to trip them down to stake the crown. Toshiba Semiconductor President Mr. Shozo Saito forecasted that 25 percent of all notebooks will be running solid state drives by 2011, reports the sources. He revealed this in a speech at a seminar swarmed by IDEMA Japan.
At present, the Mac Book Air is obtainable with a 64GB solid state drive (SSD), but it is charged a whopping 3,000 dollars. But this price capacity ratio will transform if Saito’s forecasts are on target. He predicts that the NAND gate flash memory market will develop 133 percent on average every year started from 2006 through 2010. Toshiba charts to widen its SSD lineup, which at present ranges from 32 to 128GB up to 512 Gigabytes in the times to come, as per the sources revealed. Saito expresses he’s taking into account the compartmentalization of SSDs for 512GB or less and HDDs for more in the market for memories used in notebook computers.
