It's just been a few weeks since Archos announced the Intel Atom based 10-inch netbook and now it has come up clean with its idea to release two more netbooks based on the Intel Atom processor and the second generation 'Moorestown' platform and a 9-inch Tablet PC.
There was not much to talk about Archos 10 which was powered by an Intel Atom processor, 1GB DDR memory, up to 160GB hard drive capacity and preloaded with Windows XP.
The yet to be released Archos 10s netbook featurs a sleek and slim design measuring just 20mm thick with support for 3.5G networks. It will of course have a 10-inch display and packs a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU.
The 9-inch Tablet PC on the other hand is powered by Intel Atom Z5xx processor and a System Controller Hub and has hard drive options ranging from 60GB to 160GB. It will also include a virtual keyboard and a handwriting recognition software. The 9-inch Tablet PC will weigh 0.8Kg and will measure just 17mm thick.
Archos announced an Android-based tablet, which is in development stage, with features like smartphone abilities along with media and internet browsing. Quite the busy bee, Archos is also planning on MiniPC Tablets or MIDs based on 'Moorestown' platform for release in 2010.
The Archos 10s is expected to be shipped sometime in April and the 9-inch is scheduled for a later date somewhere in the third quarter of 2009.
