HP has just officially announced a new NETBOOK (an ultraportable PC, light and small), the HP Mini 1000.
While HP had already entered the market with the HP 2133 Mini Note, this brings new NETBOOK interesting developments, including:
1.Intel Atom 1.6 GHz
2.Screen: 8.9 or 10.2, both with 1024 x 600 resolution
3.MIE (Mobile Internet Experience) and
4.Price: from $ 400 (Windows version, screen 8.9 ")
As for hardware, now HP VIA processors are made by Intel, and there are no major differences to other netbooks (like My Acer Aspire One, for example).
However, what stands out instantly from the 1000 Mini is finished, as is the Mininote, the 1000 Mini is elegant, less like a toy syndrome who suffer most netbooks.
Most interesting, however, is WED. Mobile Internet Experience, is an operating system Ubuntu is a modification made by HP that basically makes us the most common tasks and everything you need in one screen what can be counted as very positive feature for this new netbook.
However,it does not bring many new features, and performance is almost identical to the rest of netbooks today. But hey, it's a sign that it is a good time to buy one, because basically, all models offer the same. The decision, ultimately, is more like us, aesthetically speaking.
If they want something new, or still are not convinced by the current state of netbooks, will have to wait until early next year, Asus seems to have us where surprises.
