Sotec has announced its new C102 netbook in Japan. The new Sotec C102 will replace its previous model C101. There are very few additions to the new model, the marked difference is that it comes with draft-N WiFi support. You also get a relief from the Hello Kitty logo which the C101 sported on its cover. But who knows, Sotec may decide to release a Hello Kitty special edition of the C102 model. But as of now the C102 looks somewhat more business-like with a platinum silver or rich black cover. Other than these the new Sotec C102 is not much different from its previous models.
The Sotec C102 includes Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, Intel 945GSE Express chipset, 160GB SATA hard drive, the new WiFi 802.11 b/g/n Draft 2.0 connectivity, a multiformat memory card reader SD/MS/MMC, three USB 2.0 ports and VGA output. It has a 10.1-inch display with 1.3 Megapixel webcam. The Sotec C102 will be officially announced on January 24th in Japan. There is no word on its pricing yet, but with the above specifications the pricing can be expected to be on the same range as of the previous models.
