ASUS EEE PC 1008HA PASSES FCC CERTIFICATION


Asus announced the introduction of ultra-thin netbook called Eee PC 1008HA last month. The incredible gadget is expected to rock the US market this April but is awaiting a final release date. This model has now got the certification from the FCC which has been stuck in its backside. This depicts that the product is ready to be in the market anytime. According to the sources, this netbook being 1-inch thick and incorporated with 10-inch screen has been tested with 802.11 b, g and n Wi-Fi. However Asus has cleared in their announcement that both 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) and WiMAX connectivity will remain as options.

Asus Eee PC 1008HA is equipped with built-in Bluetooth and contains normal Eee PC netbook specifications. The netbook also incorporates a 10.2-inch LED backlit screen supporting a resolution of 1024 x 600. Weighing just more than 1.3Kg, the gadget is powered by an Intel N280 Atom CPU and 1 GB of RAM. The netbook also comes with a 160GB hard-disk drive with a battery life of 5 hours. One photograph of the device shows that the gadget has passed the FCC certification of the US. The company has not announced the price of this netbook but is expected to be around £359 in the UK. Further the company expects to release the netbook in Europe also.
