ASUS G50VT – A2 - The ultimate machine power

The ASUS G50 VT – A2 is considered an awesome machine. The over all look and feel of the note book is top quality, with lot of detailing being done to the exterior of the machine. The color, build quality and product finishing is way above expectations of the users and in comparison with the other products available in the market.

The note book has loads of features on offer for its users. One of the unique features available in the note book is the ‘Express Gate Slash Top OS’, with the help of which the users can check their emails while on the move without worrying about too much consumption of the battery. It provides great quality accessories options like the mouse and the carry bag unlike the cheap options available with the note books.

There is a small screen just underneath the logo, which displays reminders, a custom message, memory usage etc. There are different power modes options in the notebook which are accessible with the help of ‘Direct Console Program’.

The over all build quality is very strong and solid. Apart from being a very strong note book, it is pretty fast in processing and can virtually process loads of data applications simultaneously without compromising on processing quality even a bit. The installed graphic card is great and performs effortlessly and smoothly while playing multi media applications.

Despite having so many features and being considered a solid product, there are a few very glaring drawbacks in the A2. The first and foremost and infact the most critical of them is the battery run time. The battery life or run time is very poor in this machine, with an average of approximately just a few minutes over an hour. Battery life is one of the most critical and major deciding factors of the notebooks. The A2 fails miserably in this aspect and makes the entire package a very disappointing and less user friendly. Reference to this aspect, this machine is not for the users who are always on the move and have to use the note book a lot while travelling.

Apart from the battery life, the weight is also a point of concern with this note book, apart from being bigger in size this note book is big on weight as well and becomes uncomfortable to carry around by users who need to travel a lot or female users for whom carrying around heavy weighed machines becomes a cause of concern.
