DELL LAUNCHES NEW LINE OF ULTRA-THIN, HIGH-END LAPTOPS


For those of you who thought that laptops coming from Dell’s production house are always those old fashioned kinds, then its time you change your opinion about the same.

To keep up with competitors in the retail market, Dell has come up with a series of Ultra-Thin, High-End Laptops which can give their competitors a run for their money. The recent economic slowdown hasn’t stopped Dell from manufacturing laptops that would cater to the needs to the modern laptop user.

This new line of high-end laptops from Dell comes under the brand name of Adamo which is intended for the luxury conscious consumer. Adamo comes at a staring price of $1,999 and is supposed to be the slimmest netbook in the market with a thickness of 0.65 inches. The Adamo series will have only the Dell and Adamo logos on the outside of the netbook and will not advertise the operating system and processors incorporated with the netbook. To design exclusive laptop bags for Adamo line of netbooks, Dell has roped in fashion brand Tumi.

In addition to the latest from Dell like the Inspiron, Mini 9 and Mini 10 netbooks, Dell considers the introduction of Adamo as the zenith of its laptop design efforts.
