It was bound to happens so don't get so excited. But we were just wondering how long and if there would be some type of instruction on how to do so.
So far we have both and the guys over at Portable Monkey have taken Mitron's 1.8-inch SSD and paired it with the Dell Mini 12. Needless to see this has caused the performance of the modded Mini 12 to jump (original HDD was 4200rpm).
On the other hand battery performance seems to have been hit and we're not sure if you will have the best of time installing the new SSD as its 1.8 inches versus the 5mm of the former drive.
But if you're the type who cannot help but maxing out the performance of your netbook than what better way to start. BTW the MSD-PATA3018032-ZIF2 (official name of said drive) is going for $294 so be prepared to spend a little more than expected on this upgrade.
