Though MSI announced the GT725 at the CES claiming it to be the first gaming laptop to sport the ATI's 512MB Radeon HD4850 GPU, it has come clean with full specifications on the model at the CeBIT.
The MSI GT725 Gaming Notebook is powered by Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology(Intel 45nm Penryn P9500) with PM 45+ICH9-M chipset, ATI Radeon HD4850 DDRII 512MB graphic card, up to 4GB of 2GBx 2DDR2 800 memory and a 320 GB SATA 7200rpm HDD. The GT725 will also include Blu-ray drive, 4-in-1 card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth V2.0EDR, HD Audio, ExpressCard, Touch Sensor, E-SATA and HDMI. The GT725 has a 17-inch WUXGA Anti-glare LCD display, 2.0M Webcam and weighs 7.35 pounds with a 9 cell battery.
The MSI GT725 will also include the MSI's exclusive Turbo Drive Engine Technology and the ECO Engine Management function. These two features can be activated by a touch of the sensors that positioned just above the keyboard. According to MSI's Vice President of Sales, “Graphically speaking it is in a class by itself – the brilliant 1080P HD display and 4GB of DDRII allow the GT725 to run 3-D titles that few other gaming notebooks could handle."
MSI also annouced the GT628. This 15.4-inch gaming laptop is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor and NVIDIA GTS graphics card with 1GB of video RAM.
MSI announced two more gaming laptops, the GX622 and GX733 from its G Series. Other than its brushed aluminum finish with red accents which where obvious, MSI was not forthcoming with any more details on these notebooks.
It also launched the EX625 which is a 16-inch notebook powered by Core 2 Duo Processor and will include the 512 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 graphic card.
