DELL VOSTRO 1320



This is yet another addition to the Vostro family of business notebooks. The Dell Vostro 1320 comes with a budget friendly tag of $549.

There is a lot that is similar between the Vostro 1520 and Vostro 1320. The basic difference is in size and weight. 1320 is smaller and lighter than 1520.

Specifications of Vostro 1320 Review Laptop
The Vostro 1320 is available in a multitude of configurations. The laptop under review had the following configurations.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T6570 (2.0GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
Hard Disk Drive: 250 GB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive
Graphics: Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Memory: 3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz, 2 DIMM (1GB and 2GB sticks)
Display: 13.3 inch WXGA Anti-Glare LED Display

Design and Build Quality
The Vostro 1320 has squared off edges and corners. It weighs less than 5 lbs and is just the right size for portability. The build quality is quite good.

Ports and Features
Port selection is impressive. There are four USB ports, VGA, Ethernet/LAN, 8-in-1 media card reader, 54mm ExpressCard slot, FireWire (IEEE 1394), headphone and microphone jack. Web camera, fingerprint reader and Bluetooth are optional.

Keyboard
The keyboard is full sized and surprisingly good for a budget size notebook. The touchpad performs reasonably well. It is still not the best you would find on a business notebook.

Performance and Internal Components
The performance depends upon the configuration you choose. If you aren’t very demanding you can opt for the basic configuration. You will still be able to perform your daily tasks. The battery life is reasonable at 3 hours.
