Kingston has released its new Solid State Drives – SSDNow V+ Drives. The new models claim to have more than twice the peak read/write speeds of previous models.
The new SSDs have a read speed of 220MB per second and write speeds of 180MB per second as against the 100MB per second read speed and 80MB per write speed of the previous models. The drives are available in 3 sizes – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. They are compatible with both SATA and SATA II interfaces.

The drives are currently available in the market. Prices are as follows:

256GB - $992
