ASUS EEE PC ROADMAP LEAKED

A leaked roadmap of the Asus Eee PC models reveals that a lot of new netbook models are to be released this year. Asus also plans to discontinue some of the old models including the 1000HE.

As per the roadmap, the Asus Eee PC 1201N will be released in October. It will have an Intel Atom N270 processor with 2GB RAM and 250GB hard disk drive. The 1201N will sport a 12 inch screen. It will be based on the Ion platform and is expected to be retailed for $499. Another proposed netbook, the 1005HA -M will run on the Windows 7 starter with a N270 processor. It will be retailed for $349. The 1005HA-P version will have a slightly better N280 processor with Windows 7. It claims to give 10.5 hours of uptime and will cost around $399. Finally, the Eee PC 1008HA models will run on the N280 CPU with prices ranging from $430 to $480.

Asus also plans to launch a new version of its T91 convertible tablet. This machine will have a multi-touch capable screen and 32 GB SSD. It will be retailed for $549. No information regarding the release date is available as of now.
