Most netbooks have identical specs, but Haleron netbooks are different. The company is known for announcing a netbook with two processors. It has also introduced models with dual core processors which is something unheard of in the netbook sphere. The next big offering from Haleron is not a netbook, but an operating system due to be released on November 15th.
Haleron’s Ocean OS is basically a Linux distribution, but it is different from other Linux distributions. The Ocean OS will be able to run Windows and Google Android applications.
The Windows compatibility will be through the WINE application. But remember that the Ocean OS will not be able to run every Windows application. Android compatibility, however, still remains unexplained.
The Ocean OS is based on OpenSUSE and users are given the option of choosing from KDE or GNOME desktop environment. You can run numerous open source Linux applications including FireFox, GIMP, OpenOffice.org and PIDGIN. The supported connectivity options include 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth.
