HP has put a price tag on its Core i7 powered entertainment notebook – the Pavilion dv8. The machine is powerful and has a matching price tag.
HP has officially priced the Pavilion dv8 on its UK site. The machine comes with impressive specs including a Core-i7 processor, 4GB of RAM (up to 8GB can be installed), 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT230GPU, and twin 320GB hard disk drives. There is an integrated TV tuner and Blu-ray to complement the multimedia nature of this notebook. Other features include integrated webcam, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, HDMI/VGA, FireWire, ExpressCard and a multicard reader. There are 4 USB ports and 1 eSATA/USB combo port.
The Pavilion dv8 isn’t light. It weighs approximately 9lb and is equipped with an 18.4 inch display with a full 1920x1080 HD resolution. The device will cost around £1,300 in the UK. There is no word yet on its price in the US.
