2010 is just around the corner and netbooks running Intel Atom N450 processors have already started appearing. These processors are part of the new Pine Trail platform which is expected to improve the performance of netbooks.
It now seems that one of the first Atom N450 netbook to hit the market would be from Lenovo. Actually, a Lenovo netbook with Atom N450 has reached the FCC. The netbook has a 10.1 inch display with 1024 x 600 pixels. Up to 2GB of RAM can be installed. The hard disk is available in 250GB capacity. Other notable features include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
The couple of images published by FCC indicate that the netbook has the standard Lenovo keyboard layout. The left and right touchpad buttons also appear to be missing.
Lenovo it seems is keen on claiming its share in the MID and netbook market. The company is presently manufacturing its first smartbook with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. More netbooks are also on the anvil.
