Details regarding Lenovo’s latest notebook, the ThinkPad X100e, have leaked. This is an entry-level ultraportable notebook aimed at small and medium businesses. It will have an 11.6 inch high resolution display with 1366 x 768 pixels.
The ThinkPad X100e will be based on AMD RS780 chipset and will run on Athlon MV40 processor. Up to 4GB of RAM can be installed. The maximum available storage space is 500 GB. The machine will come pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium and will also have WWAN wireless options.
The keyboard will be a chiclet style model but sources claim that it will still offer the ‘legendary ThinkPad keyboard feel’. The touchpad will support multi-touch gestures. The machine will also have a Trackpoint.
The notebook will be available with either 3-cell or 6-cell batteries. The 6-cell version will weigh around 3.3 lbs and is expected to provide up to 5.1 hours of uptime. The X100e will be available in black, white or red colors. Prices may start at $449.
