Introduction
This laptop features and attractive design, but the price is high. 1550 Euro is what you
have to Pay for this machine. However the machine is very classy and ultra portable.
Here is my review of the VGN-TZ11XN.
Design
This is a really ultra portable notebook and I believe that’s why it is so expensive.
The design is also really stylish. The laptop’s weight is only 1.119KG including the
Battery and it only measures 27.7cm wide by 19.8cm deep by and 2.25-2.98cm thick.
The overall quality of this laptop is mixed, the build quality is not very strong and the
Laptop got some flex into it. The screen is also little bit sloppy and the hinges wobble
little bit. However the laptop’s style and weight is amazing but it is not enough when
the price is so high.
Screen
The screen is 11.1 inches and uses a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This works well
for surfing etc, but not for editing longer documents. However the screen quality is
great and features a good brightness, sharpness and great viewing angle’s.
Features
The laptop offers many good features you will for example get Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 0,3
MP webcam, FireWire and 3 USB connections. Above the excellent keyboard you
also find many multimedia buttons. The keyboard and touchpad works well but as I
already stated, the keyboard got some flex to it.
Performance
So long as you don't want to do much graphically demanding work the Vaio should perform excellent. You will have problems running the latest games since the laptop uses Intel’s GMA 950 graphic adapter. The laptop actually runs Windows Vista quite nice with the 1 GB ram and works great with other software, excellent performance for an average user.
Conclusion
A great laptop with a rich and good design, not a gaming laptop but a super portable all-around laptop is what you get, excellent for a student or a stylish businessman.
Pros
+ Great design
+ Very light and portable
Cons
- Poor graphic
- Expensive
