INTEL CORP. UNDER THE SCAN

Intel Corp, the world's most important semiconductor producer, is facing a official antitrust exploration spurred on by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Accused by competitor Advanced Micro Devices Inc of degrading its position in the $280 billion chip marketplace, Intel has faced analogous inquiries in Europe and Asia. Until lately, the FTC had been unwilling to commence an official investigation. That lasted until Deborah Platt Majoras dropped down as chairman and was replaced with an additional Republican, William Kovacic. Intel sustains that they have done nobody wrong, having specified over hundreds of thousands of documents to the FTC. "We don't judge that there's been obnoxious behavior or unlawful behavior," said Bruce Sewell, General Co.
